ESCWA is organizing, in collaboration with the Arab Ministerial Water Council of the League of Arab States, an Arab regional preparatory meeting for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference (Abu Dhabi, 8-10 December 2026).
The meeting aims to assess progress on water-related goals, discuss enablers, and present key regional initiatives that aim to accelerate the achievement of water-related goals and water security.
The meeting in intended to inform the preparation of an outcome document that reflects regional priorities on water-related issues and opportunities for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference.
