As part of the series of capacity-building workshops for national policymakers, ESCWA is organizing, in partnership with the Ministry of Industry in Lebanon, back-to-back capacity-building workshops focusing on policy development to advance the integration of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into the circular economy.
The workshop brings together policymakers and decision makers from key economic, industrial, environmental, agricultural and energy institutions, alongside representatives of regulatory and standards bodies, research organizations, business support institutions, industry associations and private-sector stakeholders.
In Lebanon, progress towards a circular economy is being advanced through national and regional initiatives that promote resource efficiency and circular business models, supporting SMEs in transitioning towards more sustainable and competitive practices, alongside efforts to develop a national Green, Blue and Circular Economy Roadmap.
