The annual meeting of the Intersessional Group of Experts on Disability provides a platform for exchanging experiences and consultation among member States on developments in the field of disability. The seventh meeting, held at the UN House in Beirut, includes three pillars:
- Discussion of the difficulties and challenges faced by member States in implementing the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and presentations on best practices and proposed recommendations in response to these challenges.
- Discussion of the Community Based Inclusive Development approach.
- Sharing updates on current activities between ESCWA and member States and discussion of the proposed action plan for the coming year.
