This technical workshop is organized within the scope of two projects on “Facilitating Arab regional and global integration through evidence-based policymaking toolkits” and “Boosting development and improving livelihoods in Arab countries through evidence-based policymaking” to officials from the Ministry of Economy in the United Arab Emirates.
The workshop focuses on the global and single-country Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models developed for the Ministry. It aims to deepen the national team's technical proficiency in analysing national economic policies, as well as regional and global economic and trade transformations, and their implications for the United Arab Emirates and the broader global economy.
The workshop also seeks to enhance participants’ proficiency in using the Global Economywide Trade Simulator Interface (GETSI-United Arab Emirates) and the single-country CGE models, both independently and in an integrated manner to support ex-ante evaluations of public policies.
