Scheduled for November 2025 in Doha, the second World Summit for Social Development presents a historic opportunity to reaffirm the commitments of the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration and reinvigorate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
As countries in the Arab region actively participate in the negotiation process, this document outlines key priorities for the region. These priorities focus on eradicating poverty, achieving full productive employment and decent work, and fostering social integration. The document also proposes additional actions critical for advancing social development amidst ongoing conflicts, fiscal constraints, climate pressures, and a persistent digital divide.
