ESCWA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs and the International Center for the Promotion of Persons with Disabilities, is organizing a national workshop for the soft launch of the digital platform for disability resource materials. The workshop showcases the pilot version of the platform, featuring its comprehensive classification framework, initial curated content, and advanced digital accessibility tools. Key stakeholders are invited to provide feedback, helping to refine the platform further, and to agree on a clear timeline for its public launch, as well as on governance and sustainability mechanisms.
The event targets relevant government bodies including policy and decision makers, organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), specialized NGOs, academic and research institutions, and service providers and disability specialists.
