ESCWA, in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, is conducting a capacity-building workshop on macro-fiscal modelling and forecasting to support the Ministry of Finance in Lebanon.
The workshop aims to strengthen the capacities of technical staff and policymakers in Lebanon to develop macroeconomic policy simulations that inform decisions on medium-term fiscal frameworks, fiscal impacts of revenue and expenditure adjustments, and budgetary decisions aligned with macroeconomic objectives.
The training provides participants with access to the Macro-Fiscal Modelling and Forecasting tool, including its user-friendly interface, utilizing the extended single-country World Economic Forecasting Model and its applications for policy simulations.
